§ 2-423. Purpose.

The procedures in this subdivision are to govern the disposition of unclaimed corpses in possession of the county coroner. In the event the county coroner comes into possession of a corpse, the coroner shall comply with all relevant provisions of state law with regard to identifying the body and searching for next of kin, and the coroner shall fully document his efforts in that regard.
